The Society of Dix-Neuviémistes is delighted to announce the winners of the 2026 Tim Unwin Early Career Researcher Grant:

Anna Paola Manna (University of Exeter). Her work looks at the influence of psychology on the fin-de-siècle novel, and the grant will be used to fund a research trip to the Fonds Georges Hérelle in Troyes to study materials relating to the French translation of L’Innocente by Gabriele D’Annunzio.

Hervé Goerger (University of Kent). His research focuses on science and the poetics of lifeforms from Jules Verne to H. G. Wells, and the grant will be used to deliver conference papers in Lille and Lyon and to carry out archival work at the BNF.
